This morning I woke up and felt like starting off my day with a bit of action. There is nothing like a bit of action in the mornings to fully wake you up. Who knew that action could happen when one is sitting in bed all morning, correction it is now officially the afternoon. Such a relaxing morning.
But this need for action and staying in bed stemmed from the fact that yesterday morning I had my final exam for the semester. It is such a luxurious feeling knowing that your exams are over. But man I was tired. I crawled into bed to have a short nap before spending the night having some fun and ended up sleeping till morning. Using the word nap makes me feel a little like and old lady and not a women in her twenties (sorry not willing to share my exact age, you know how us women are about our ages). I think in total I had about 14 hours of sleep.
But basically, the great feeling of knowing that exams are over and the knowledge that one can stay in bed all day if I should desire it, are reasons for my mood of utter bliss. When your at university it is probably one of the best days of your university career, well I think so. So my advise to anyone who is experiencing the day after the last exam, is to live it. No not the get drunk live it, but the decide what to do that will make you happy and do it. For me it is sitting in bed watching an action movie before fully facing the day. Though my day is going to be a little boring for most, but for me it is just a time to relax.
Relax, live life and enjoy the day after.
The side of university life that is known to most students but ignored.

Movies, Money and 6 people around a laptop.
I have one question for all you readers out there, If a someone were to get down on one knee dressed like cupid and ask you to marry them would you say yes? or would just laugh hysterically. This hasn't happened to me, I have no idea how I would react if that were ever to happen to me. Or would you rather be proposed to via charades? Basically why I am babbling on about this is I watched it in a movie the other night. But it really isn't relevant, well not really.
Another part of any students life is the regular movie nights. Now days it is often downloaded movies rather than actually going to the movies, much cheaper in the long run. But movies are an integral part of university life. When I was in one of the university hostels my friends and I would all pile into one of our rooms and watch the movies on a laptop. Not the best way to view them but the TV rooms were always full. Having 6 of you in a room trying to watch a movie on a laptop is not easy. At least two people always drew the short straw and saw mainly black screen and no movie. But was just part of the fun of it. I am a little embarrassed to say that I spent over $350 at one video rental store in the space of 8 months. But they were irresistibly cheap. 12 weekly movies for $10. That works out to be approximately 420 movies watched, or about 2 movies a day. I am in no way a movie buff, I just like to broaden my horizons.
So for those of you who watch movies, keep at it, one day you might watch as many as me, but then again maybe you have seen more than me.

Pizza: temptation from the Devil food from the Gods
When one is at uni take-away pizza is a staple in ones diet, well probably any take-away food that is close by. It is an essential part of ones diet along with packet noodles, you know the ones that say they cook in two to three minutes. It seems that for this past semester thursday has been pizza day. The one day that I eat my weekly helping of pizza. I love pizza even though it really isn't very good for me, but I ignore that and eat it anyway. I see pizza as a gift from god and one should enjoy every single bite.
I suppose one could liken the the heavenly feeling of a bite of pizza to a vampire's feelings when they taste blood. But I suppose that us meer mortals can never know how a vampire feels. I will just have to make do with the heavenly feeling I get from eating pizza.
So tell me is pizza your idea of heaven or is there something that raises you into the clouds with a feeling of pure pleasure, be you mortal, supernatural being, vampire or like me, a plain university student?

Computers are not intelligent...
One thing that anyone will find about university is that when it comes to study week, you get distracted very easily. I have been sitting here doing my essay that's due next week and to be truly honest I haven't gotten very far. I did however find I great reference that I can use.
During study week, unless your a total study nerd, motivation will be at an all time low. Right now my mind has wandered to my Sims family and what I need to do to get the husband a promotion, after I get him out of bed that is. He seems to be stuck in bed and not even needing to use the toilet or eat can make him get up. It seems to get stuck there, some glitch in the program or my computer is just being a dick. Most likely the computer is being a dick, it was being one the other day. But a few pleases and thank-yous seemed to work. Computers however are "a lot less forgiving...not intelligent and still get into a muddle." That my dear readers is a summary of computers as stated by my computer science lecturer. All hail the wisdom of a computer geek.
It doesn't seem to be raining so I might just brave the weather and walk home...Via the shops for junk food that is. I need some form of motivation to keep me going on my essay and study. One small piece of study advice.... set up study groups...they do wonders for the motivation and are a great social gathering.
Farewell readers and please keep reading and hope you enjoy the randomness of these posts.

Push, move, watch... Which one do I want to be?
I have deliberated on the topic of this post, and to be honest it will most likely be a bunch of random thoughts. This is mostly due to the fact that I am bored and trying to ignore the fact that I have to start my exam study tomorrow. Semester ended three days ago and the boredom pretty much set in the following day. It was a busy last week and going from busy to having nothing to do was a bit of a shock to the system. OK technically semester doesn't end until the last day of exams, for me that's in 2 and a half weeks.
So to fill the boredom void I have spent the past three days watching movies and movie trailers, adding to my "to watch" list. The mental "to watch" list that is, I haven't actually got a written one. I suppose that I should that way I can keep track of what is coming out.
I am going through a "I wish" phase, I wish I had some form of power, like a special ability power. You see there are categories in this world, the watchers, pushers, movers, shadows, sniffers (no not dogs but very similar), shifters, bleeders, stichers etc.... The list can go on, if you want to know more about these powers I highly recommend that you watch the movie "Push", with Dakota Fanning, Chris Evans(total hunk), plus some others. It was watching this movie that made me wish I had powers. I sat there during the movie thinking to myself which one I would like to have.
Being a watcher would be useful. I wouldn't mind knowing what is going to happen in the future. But then I thought that I could become bored with life if I already know what happens. I like surprise in life. I don't want to be a control freak so a pusher(controlling people with your mind....FREAKY) is out. I think personally, of them all, I would like to be a mover, I do however think it may make me lazy. But being able to move object with my mind, telekinesis in other words. But personally mover is a nicer word, telekinesis sounds a little to scientific for my liking.
So basically out of my state of temporary boredom comes a desire for an ability that I do not posses, the ability to move things with my mind. Though with the world as it is today it could quite easily be a possibility, I would just have to unlock my potential and stop acting so skeptical. Amongst my belief that there are powers out there, is a skeptisism that I'm just dreaming of a reality that is not real.
What power would you like to have? I know that you want one, post a comment and tell me which one it is that you covet.... Do you want to read minds, see the future, move objects, teleport at the drop of a hat, move in time? Which do you desire the most?
Please vote for your chosen power on the poll at the top right of my blog.
